Pleasure FunPark Bridlington
Bridlington is a seaside resort
Bridlington is a seaside resort area and minor seaport on the coast of the North Sea. The town lies just south of the promontory of Flamborough Head. It is served by the Bridlington railway station, which is on the Yorkshire Coast Line that runs between Kingston upon Hull and Scarborough, North Yorkshire.
Bridlington sits on the Holderness Coast, an area which is said to have the highest seacoast erosion rates in Europe.Southward the coast becomes low, but northward it is steep and very fine, where the great spur of Flamborough Head projects eastward. The sea front is protected by a sea wall and a wide beach encouraged by wooden groynes which trap the sand. The beaches are part of a large deposit of Smithic Sand which stretches out into the bay in sand banks which are an important habitat for many marine species.
The civil parish is formed by the town of Bridlington and the villages of Bessingby and Sewerby. According to the 2001 UK census, the Bridlington parish had a population of 33,837.
The town of Bridlington is divided into two part
The Old Town, the ancient market town (once known as Burlington) lying about a mile from the coast. The old town contains the historic site of the town's market and The Priory Church of St Mary, on the site of an Augustinian Priory which was dissolved by Henry VIII when the last prior was executed for taking part in the Pilgrimage of Grace.
Bridlington Quay, which is the home of the tourist area and the harbour. It has excellent sea-bathing, and the parade and ornamental gardens provide pleasant promenades. The Bridlington Harbour is the key feature of the Quay, which is enclosed by two stone piers. Recently extensive works have been carried out along the sea front and after some struggle with planning permission, a 'London Eye'-style wheel has been built.

Funfairs, fairgrounds and pleasure parks
A funfair or simply fair (e.g., "county fair", "state fair") is a small to medium sized traveling show primarily composed of stalls and other amusements. Larger fairs such as the permanent fairs of cities and seaside resorts might be called a fairground, although technically this should refer to the land where a fair is traditionally held. The word fair comes from the Latin word feria, meaning a holiday.
In North America, a fair is sometimes called a carnival or exhibition, although in Europe and other parts of the world influenced by the Catholic church, a carnival is a procession usually held around Shrove Tuesday which is sometimes accompanied by a funfair, but which is known in the United States as Mardi Gras. One strand of the medieval fair has diverged to become the agricultural show which often still has a funfair attached. Increasingly, funfairs are appearing as additional attractions alongside any large gatherings of people such as major sporting events, music festivals, and civic celebrations.
Bayside, California
Bayside is an unincorporated community in Humboldt County, California.[1] It is located 2.25 miles (3.6 km) south-southeast of Arcata, at an elevation of 33 feet (10 m). The ZIP Code is 95524.
Bayside is located in the northern part of the state, along the coast, in Humboldt County. Though Bayside has its own post office, it was partially annexed into the City of Arcata. It is policed by Arcata police and the county sheriff. Bayside is home to many middle class families, mostly Caucasian. Most parents work away from the home, some at the nearby Humboldt State University or in the timber industry that exists in Northern California. Many children in Bayside attend Jacoby Creek Elementary School, a charter elementary school in the area.
Bayside is surrounded by pastures and second growth forests and dotted with aging Victorian houses. The Bayside Grange (built 1941), a historical meeting hall for farmers in Bayside, is still used as an all-purpose hall for the community. Right across the street, is the original Jacoby Creek School building. Bayside is also home to Hank's Coffee Shop across the street from Jacoby Creek School.
As you go up Jacoby Creek Road, the first left is now known as Baywood Heights, a private road and development. This used to be an old dirt logging road. Area teenagers frequented the property before it became a development. If you went to the top of the hill there was a pile of old growth redwood trunks you could stand on and look down the other side toward the Appleton's old ranch house.
A common misconception is that the early '90s hit television show Saved by the Bell took place in Bayside, when in fact the show was set in Pacific Palisades, California, and the characters on the show attended the fictional Bayside High School. Also, Bayside High School is where the characters of That's So Raven go to school.
The first people to settle in Bayside were members of the Quear family. (There is a large, dilapidated book in the Jacoby Creek Elementary School library that is an excellent history of the area, not just Bayside, and it contains more detailed facts.)
One of the main roads in Bayside is Golf Course Road, where a full size golf course greets you at the top after a beautiful walk.
